Patricia Madere Keating

Patricia Madere Keating passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 89. Born in New Orleans, she made her home in LaPlace, Louisiana.

She was the beloved wife of the late Curtis Keating, Sr. Patricia is survived by her loving children, Cathy Cartozzo (Sam) and Curtis Keating, Jr. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Ladner. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to five grandchildren, Sam J. Cartozzo, III (Margaret), Kelly Keating Boe, Michael Cartozzo (Elizabeth), Jaime Ladner Smith (Terry), and Curtis Keating, and four great-grandchildren, Joey, Penelope, Charles, and Rhett.

Patricia was also preceded in death by her parents, Earlis Madere and Virginia Vicknair Madere, and her sister, Janice Margavio. She is survived by a niece and nephew, cousins, and other relatives.

For more than three decades, Patricia dedicated her life to education, touching the lives of countless students and leaving a lasting impact on her community. She will be remembered for her deep love of family, her kind heart, and her unwavering Catholic faith. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched both in the classroom and within her family.
