Patricia Lynn Oaks, aged 82, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on October 7, 1943, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late George and Margaretta (née Hughes) Hood Jr., Patricia lived a life defined by kindness, warmth, and an unwavering spirit.

Known for her friendly and outgoing nature, Patricia never met a stranger. Her vibrant personality and infectious sense of humor lit up every room she entered. She possessed a rare gift for forming connections, building friendships with ease, and nurturing those bonds with genuine love and care.

Her greatest joy was her family. She cherished quiet moments with her husband, Bob, whether relaxing on their front porch, listening to music, or enjoying leisurely drives together. Patricia’s profound devotion to her loved ones, offered through her warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love, will remain a lasting gift to all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert E. Oaks; her loving children, Mary (John) Mattes and Robert Mark Oaks; her dear grandchildren, Christopher, Brendan, and Ryan Kane; and her cherished siblings, Cheryl (Jim) Newsome, Tom Hood, and the late Dennis Hood (surviving wife Becci).
