Patricia Hinds ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel - Palmyra on Mar. 17, 2026.Patricia "Patti" Lynn Meyers Hinds, 72, of Olathe, KS, formerly of Palmyra, MO, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.Well done, good and faithful servant! Patti was no doubt welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven with open arms and reunited with her beloved parents and sisters. Her faith never waived and was evident in her life's work as a nurse, holding various positions primarily in surgery and orthopedics. She had a passion for caring for others, always putting others before herself. Patti accompanied surgeons on multiple medical missions to Honduras where the medical staff performed surgeries for the less fortunate. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Gardner, KS, teaching vacation bible school and involved in various other activities.Mom was also known as Momma, Gma Patti, great grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. She was resilient, independent, fun-loving, adventurous and a hardworking caregiver who had a fierce love for her family. Also, she was an avid reader, gardener, lover of antiques and home decor.Patti was an adventurer, pulling her various campers all over the country from the Tetons, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Park to Copper Harbor of Upper Peninsula, Michigan and almost everywhere in between.Most importantly, she adored spending time with family. From every holiday or fish fry to a simple after church lunch with her grandkids, mom was the life of the party.Survivors include her daughters, Valerie (Jeff) Elkinton of Gardner, KS, Allison (Mark) Blankenship of Golden, CO, grandchildren Macey (Dylan) Wheeler of Netawaka, KS, Isaac Elkinton of Warrensburg, MO, great-granddaughter Delilah Jean and another great grandbaby on the way.She was one of seven children. Surviving siblings include Sherrian Beckett of Mesa, AZ, Joyce (Wayde) Mann of Philadelphia, MO, Allan (Cheri) Meyers of Palmyra, MO, David (Marla) Meyers of Palmyra, MO. Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Jacqueline Meyers and her two sisters Connie Schaffer and Noma Eaton. She also adored her many nieces and nephews.A Celebration of Life will be held in Palmyra at a later date in the summer. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra, MO.Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra, MO.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
