Patricia Louise Rhodes Roberson

September 19, 1955 March 7, 2026

Westville, SC

Patricia Louise Rhodes Roberson, lovingly known as “Patti,” was born on September 19, 1955, and passed away on March 7, 2026. Throughout her life, Patti devoted herself first and foremost to her family. She spent many years caring for and supporting her children, finding her deepest happiness in the time she shared with those she loved most. Her sister and best friend, Debra, remained a constant presence in her life, and Patti cherished the many moments spent with her extended family, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and their growing families.

Later in life, some of Patti’s greatest joys came from watching her children grow and celebrating their accomplishments and milestones. She loved bringing family together, especially during holidays and special gatherings filled with laughter, food, and stories. She also enjoyed her time working events at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, where she delighted in meeting celebrities who, like her, were kind and down-to-earth, often recounting those stories with a smile.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Robert H. Rhodes; her mother, Louise Harper Rhodes Drake; her devoted stepfather, Joe T. Drake; and her brother, Gerald E. Rhodes. She is survived by her son, James Blake Roberson; her daughter, Gena Louise Roberson; and her sister, Debra Rhodes Driggers. Patti loved deeply, and it was her hope that the love she shared with family and friends would continue to live on long after her passing.

Those who knew her may feel her spirit in the simple things that surround us: the beauty of a purple flower, the comforting taste of Thanksgiving dressing with extra sage, the warmth of a sunny day at the beach, or any small moment that brings her memory to mind. After a lifetime of hard work, caring for her declining mother in her final years, and being a devoted and loving mother to James and Gena, Patti wished for her ashes to be scattered at the beach, a place of peace and relaxation for her, where she could spend eternity on a “forever vacation” in the sun and waves.
