Patricia Lee Whiteside

Patricia Lee Whiteside, 84, of Delaware, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Dublin Methodist Hospital.

Born on February 12, 1942, in Delaware to Ralph and Vera (Cleveland) Fichtner, Patricia graduated from Willis High School. She dedicated 49 years of her working life to Grady Memorial Hospital before retiring. A longtime member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and the Moose Lodge, both in Delaware, she took great pleasure in collecting Longaberger baskets and Dooney & Bourke purses. She loved watching sports, especially when her grandchildren were competing, and cherished quiet moments spent with her family. She also remained close with her high school classmates, regularly meeting them for lunch.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula (Dan) Yates; grandchildren, Eric (Sarah) Yates and Travis (Alexis) Yates; great-grandchildren, Everlee Grace Yates and Tatum Daniel Yates, who is on the way; and her brother, Lynn (Patricia) Fichtner. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Whiteside, her parents, and her brother Donald Fichtner.
