Kern, her only living daughter, Angel D. Cole, her son-in-law, Ronnie E. Cole Jr., her only living granddaughter, Carly S. Cole, her only step-grandson, Matthew C. Cole, two step- great-grandsons, Avery Cole, Atom Cole, her mother-in-law, Marie Kern, father-in-law, Thurmond Kern, sister-in-law, Lucy Kern, three nieces, two nephews, two great nephews, and a great niece on the way.Darlene was only formally educated until 9th grade yet rose to hold the title of a manager at every job she held. She was not a 'Jack of all trades' -but a 'Jill of all trades'. She knew how to navigate and survive through many difficult situations throughout her lifetime.
