Patricia Roberts ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Holy Cross Cemetery and Funeral Center on Mar. 16, 2026.Patricia Joy Anselmo Roberts, born August 9, 1936, in Minnesota, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.Patricia grew up with a caring heart and a strong sense of purpose. She graduated from Antioch High School in 1954, where she met her high school sweetheart and lifelong partner, Leonard Roberts. Their love story spanned 68 wonderful years of marriage and a lifetime of shared memories.Guided by her natural compassion, Patricia pursued a career in nursing and graduated from Highland Nursing School in 1957. She dedicated 36 years to serving others as a registered nurse at Pittsburg Hospital, later known as Los Medanos Hospital. Nursing was more than a profession to Patricia-it was a calling. She found deep fulfillment in caring for her patients and took pride in making a difference in the lives of those who needed comfort and healing.Family was the center of Patricia's world. She is survived by her devoted husband, Leonard Roberts; her children, Leonard Roberts Jr., Stephen Roberts, and Julie Hilt; her daughter-in-law, Denise Roberts; and her son-in-law, Shane Hilt. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Nicholas, Caitlin, Paige, Tanner, Hannah, and Riley, and a treasured great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren who brought endless joy to her life.Patricia's faith and generosity guided the way she lived her life. She was a devoted member of Holy Rosary Church, where she served for many years as a Eucharistic minister. She also gave her time to St. Vincent de Paul, always looking for ways to help others and give back to her community.When she wasn't caring for others, Patricia enjoyed traveling and exploring the world with Leonard, creating memories that she loved to share with family and friends. In her later years, she found comfort and joy spending time at Saint Anne's Respite Care in Byron, a place that became very special to her.Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Loretta Anselmo, and her siblings, Geri Alverez, Kay Cobiseno, and Peter Anselmo Jr.A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on March 26, 2026, at Holy Cross Cemetery, 2200 E. 18th Street, Antioch, California 94509. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM, with a reception to follow.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to: Saint Anne's Village or SAV PO BOX 374, Byron, California 94514 A place that meant so much to Patricia in her final years.Patricia will be remembered for her kindness, her faith, her dedication to caring for others, and the deep love she had for her family.
