Patricia Jane Oddy, lovingly known as “Patty,” passed away on March 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 26, 1947, to the late Carl Alger and Alice (Pierce) Alger, she grew up with a kind heart and a caring spirit that touched everyone she met.

Patty devoted her life to caring for others, both at home and through her work at Teresian House, where she served faithfully for more than thirty years before retiring. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who had a special way of making those around her feel loved and welcome.

She was predeceased by her beloved children, Jean P. Oddy and Michelle M. Altobelli. Patty is survived by her children, Kenneth J. (Laurie) Oddy, Michael J. (Judy) Oddy, Justin (Heidi) Pendyke, and Nicole M. Oddy; her grandchildren, Amanda (Cody) Williams, Anthony Altobelli, Kenneth J. Oddy Jr., Cody Oddy, Rebecca (Brandon) Tarris, Anna (Brett) Walker, Madeline Oddy, Kaid Oddy, Ashley Ciletti, Michaela Oddy, Nykesha Quince, Jaddein Quince, and Shelby Oddy; and her great-grandchildren, Gryffin Ciletti and Noah Williams. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Over the years, Patty lived throughout the greater Albany area, including Duanesburg and Guilderland Center, before making her final home in Chatham. There she created a warm place filled with love, laughter, and family. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
