Patricia J. DingwallMarch 18, 1935 - February 13, 2026Patricia J. Dingwall, 90, passed away on February 13. She was born on March 18, 1935, in Dublin, Ireland, to Robert and Florence Calder. When Patricia was three years old, the family moved to Liverpool, England. She was the eldest of three daughters, alongside her middle sister Jean and her younger sister Joyce.Patricia's childhood was shaped by the challenges of World War II. She lived through the Blitz, and on two separate occasions, she and her family became trapped in an air-raid shelter after the building above them collapsed.In 1957, Patricia immigrated to the United States, settling in Arlington, Virginia. She married the love of her life, Alexander Dingwall-whom she had first met in Liverpool-on October 11, 1958. The couple shared 65 devoted years together until Alexander's passing in 2023.Patricia and Alexander purchased their first home in Fairfax, Virginia, in the early 1960s. They welcomed their sons, Jonathan in 1962 and Keith in 1965. Both Patricia and Alexander proudly became American citizens in 1963. In 1971, the family moved to Fauquier County, where they continued to build a life.Patricia was a devoted wife and mother. A beautician, she owned and operated Shear Haven Salon and Boutique in Warrenton, Virginia. After retiring, she continued to offer her services part time at The Oaks retirement community. She also served as a Senior Partner in the Piedmont Investment Club and was an active supporter of the American Cancer Society.She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander; her son, Keith; and her sister, Jean. She is survived by her son Jonathan; daughter-in-law Maria; and her sister, Joyce Gibson.Gone from our sight but forever living in our hearts and memories.Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Salvation Army, Tunnels to Towers, or the American Cancer SocietyA service and reception will be held at Leeds Parish Hall, 4346 Leeds Manor Road, Markham, VA, from 1–5 p.m. on March 18.Online condolences may be expressed at www.moserfuneralhome.com
