Johnson, 89, of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard W. Johnson. Together they shared 35 loving years of marriage before his passing on May 23, 1992.Born on February 11, 1937, in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the treasured daughter of the late Anthony F. and Victoria (Orlandi) Arcaro. One of seven children, Patricia was raised and educated in Boston and graduated from Roslindale High School in 1954. She began her working years at Busy Bee Cleaners and later held positions at Luby's Chevrolet, S.S. Pierce, and Whiting & Davis. The work she did outside of the home was always done for the betterment of her family.Family was Patricia's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. Sunday dinners were sacred as she delighted in gathering her loved ones around the table. She never missed an opportunity to attend the activities of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren including sporting events, school performances, recitals, or other milestone moments. She was always up for a family adventure, whether it was an afternoon by the water, a country drive, camping in the woods, road trips to other parts of the country, or a special journey to Italy. These shared experiences became the fabric of her family's story, woven indelibly into the hearts of those she loved.Patricia was a talented seamstress and often made clothing and costumes for her children through the years. She loved decorating, crafting, refinishing furniture, and spending summer days with her family at the Cape. A devout Christian, she was a member of St. Martha Parish in Plainville for more than 60 years. Her faith guided her life and was evident in her grace and unwavering compassion. She had a loving heart and exuded kindness and generosity to everyone lucky enough to cross her path.Remaining to honor Patricia's memory are her children, Christine Johnson of Buzzards Bay, Joseph Johnson of Attleboro, Robert Johnson of Plainville, Susan Johnson of Bellingham, and Theresa Johnson of Bellingham, as well as her son-in-law, Stephen D. Rogers, and daughter-in-law, Susan (Amoling) Johnson. She is also survived by three siblings – John (and Carol) Arcaro of Deltona, FL, Marie Butler of East Bridgewater, and Lorraine (and Bill) Ryan of Rockport, ME. Her spirit lives on in her eight grandchildren – Christopher Johnson, Drew Johnson, Jessica Paquette, Luke Johnson, Corey Johnson, Analise Rogers, Meredith Johnson and Fiona Johnson; her six great-grandchildren – Alexis Paquette, Connor Johnson, Aiden Paquette, Ella Johnson, Julius Johnson and Josephine Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Patricia was preceded in death by her precious son, John Johnson, her cherished granddaughter, April Johnson, and her dear siblings – Rita Blades, Anthony Arcaro, Jr, and Donald Arcaro.Patricia's love will endure in every gathering, every shared meal, and every story told in her memory.Relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 10:30 AM in Saint Martha Church, 221 South Street, Plainville, followed by a brief committal service at 1:00 PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. A gathering will follow immediately after at the Onset Bay Center, 186 Onset Avenue, Onset.
