Patricia Ann Tierney Duff
April 1, 1945— March 10, 2026
Fishersville, VA
Patricia Ann Tierney Duff, 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Augusta Health in Fishersville, surrounded by her family.
Born on April 1, 1945, in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late Martin Frederick, Sr. and Margaret Regina Burdick Tierney, Patricia spent most of her adult life as a textile worker before continuing her career at Wal-Mart, where she eventually retired.
She found quiet joy in life’s simple pleasures. Patricia loved playing bingo and Jumanji with family and friends, cherished trips to the beach, and looked forward to visits with her sons, which always felt like her home away from home. Above all, she treasured her time with her grandchildren, delighting in spoiling them and creating lasting memories together.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Charles Edward Duff, whom she married on October 18, 1974; her sons, Paul W. Duff and his wife, Lucinda, and Timothy Duff and his wife, Carolyn; her brothers, Martin Frederick Tierney, Jr. and his wife, Garnett, and Andrew Miller; her sisters, Lyndia Jean Tierney Rust and Teresa June Tierney Thompson and her husband, James; her sister-in-law, Tammie Tierney; her grandchildren, Colton, Amber, Ashley, Preston, Jasmine, and Aaron Duff, James Balser, Justin and Jared Bowles, and Keelyn; her great-grandchildren, Serina Jackson, Alyssa, Anthony, and Timothy Duncan, Penelope Balser, Blair Duff, and Wade Bowles; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Albert William Tierney.
