Patricia Ann McClain, known affectionately as Pat, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, in Piedmont, South Carolina, at the age of 83. Born on April 16, 1942, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late Vanoy Gresham and Lizzie Mae Green Bowers, she spent her working years in the textile industry as a cloth inspector and sewing professional at Fiber Industries. Her keen eye for detail and strong work ethic reflected the dedication and care she brought to everything she did, qualities she lovingly passed on to her family.
A devoted member of Wren Baptist Church, Pat lived out her faith through compassion and kindness, touching the lives of those around her with quiet grace and genuine warmth. She cherished her family above all, creating countless moments of joy and comfort that will remain treasured by all who knew her. Her spirit of love and service continues to live on in the hearts of those she held dear.
She is survived by her three children, Kim Sherman and husband William of Piedmont, Denise Barbrey and husband Mike of Williamston, and Ronnie Steven McClain and wife Brandy of Spartanburg; four grandchildren, Chris McClain, Kayla Sexton (Scott), Alan Tims (Morgan), and Dylan Barbrey; and six great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Kaden, Devin, Elly, Addie, and Avery. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 44 years, Ronnie; a daughter, Maria McClain; her parents; and her siblings, William “Bill” Bowers, Betty Woodruff, Bobbie Campbell, and Jim Bowers.
