Patricia Ann Johnson

Patricia "Pat" A. Johnson, 85, of Fergus Falls, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.

Patricia Ann Johnson was born March 15, 1940, to Olaf and Clara (Rude) Eckley in Rolette, North Dakota. A few years later, the Eckley family moved to Fergus Falls, where Pat grew up, attended school, and graduated from high school.

On August 19, 1961, Pat married James Johnson at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Together they built a life rooted in family, faith, and community. Pat and Jim shared a beautiful marriage that lasted 62 years. Their love first brought three sons into the world, and over the years their family continued to grow in the most wonderful ways.

Their sons were joined by three wonderful daughters-in-law who became cherished members of the family. Through them, Pat and Jim were blessed with five grandchildren-four granddaughters and one grandson-who brought them endless pride and joy.

In the later years of their marriage, Pat and Jim experienced another special blessing when they welcomed their first great-grandchildren into the family, two great-grandsons. Watching their family grow across generations was one of the greatest joys of their lives, and it was a testament to the love and strong foundation they built together.

Pat worked for Otter Tail Power Company as an administrative assistant for 35 years. She retired at the young age of 58 after many years of dedicated service.

A lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, Pat remained active in her church and community for more than 80 years. She volunteered in many ways, including involvement with 4-H, the Kilo Club, church choir, and as a Sunday school teacher.

Pat enjoyed baking, cooking, canning, gardening, and puzzles. Above all, she loved creating a warm and welcoming home where her family could gather. She treasured simple traditions-attending church every Sunday, enjoying coffee on the porch, and cheering on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all they did.

Pat and Jim also held a special place in the Fergus Falls community through their beloved Christmas Village and Santa Nights, which they hosted for 24 years, bringing joy to countless families.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Olaf and Clara Eckley; her husband, Jim; and her siblings, Clinton, Allan (Sunny), Myrtle (Tootsie), Milan (Mike), Marles, John (Johnny) and Robert (Bob).

She is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Delinda) Johnson of Madison, Wisconsin; Cory (Kimberley) Johnson of Alexandria, Minnesota; and Darin (Wanda) Johnson of Fargo, North Dakota; grandchildren Taylor (William) and Emma Claire, Caitlin (Nick), Kendra (Seth), and Carson (Julia); great-grandchildren Henry and Beckett; and her siblings Eldora and Gary.

Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.
