URBANA – Patricia Ann "Pat" Dunlavy, 89 of Urbana, peacefully passed away in her home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. She was born on Jan. 9, 1937 in Champaign County, a daughter of Theodore and Mary (Woodruff) Spellman. Pat enjoyed watching soap operas and reading romance novels. She also enjoyed long car rides, traveling and loved cooking. Pat is survived by her children, Donna Kelty (Daniel) of Vermont, Kathy Dilts (Kenneth Daniels) of Urbana and Ronald Dunlavy of Urbana; grandchildren, Jennifer Kelty, Brian Dilts, Andrew Dilts, Alan Dilts and Amy Doggett (Kris); great-grandchildren, Myah Brown, Bella Stevens, Emmi Stevens, Brady Dilts, Baileigh Doggett and Delanie Doggett. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald L. Dunlavy. He was the boy next door whom she married on May 12, 1956. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Mary Spellman; a grandson, Christopher Kelty; brother, Charles "Chuck" Spellman and a sister, Ginger Litenberger. A special thank you to Tracy and Jeanette with Vitas Hospice for the special care given to our mother. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 in the WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main Street, Urbana, Ohio, with funeral services at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, Ohio.
