Patricia A. Schoone

Patricia A. Schoone, age 88, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at House of the Dove in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Born on October 4, 1937, in Merrill, Wisconsin, to Erich and Angeline (Bushman) Gulke, Patricia graduated from Holy Cross High School in Merrill in 1956. On January 1, 1959, she married Andrew Schoone at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and shared memories.

Patricia possessed a generous spirit and found joy in giving back to others. She volunteered at the Craft Shoppe, where she spent time with friends and shared her many talents. She had a lifelong passion for knitting and sewing, creating beautiful handmade items that will be treasured by those who received them. She also enjoyed the quiet satisfaction of working jigsaw puzzles, a pastime that reflected her patience and attention to detail.

She is survived by her children, Linda (John) Nichols, Laurie Fritsche, Lisa (Mike) Cole, Patti (David) Kelly, and James (Karyn) Schoone; nine grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda) Fritsche, Angela Beranek, Sara (Mat) Bella, Patrick (Susannah) Nichols, Brandon Cole, Danielle (Josh) Pedrazoli, Zach Sleeter, Krista (Conner) Smith, and Kara Sleeter; 14 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joyce Hilderandt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Andrew Schoone, her sister Donna Loud, and her brother Erich Gulke.
