She took pride in her work and was known for her strong work ethic, welcoming smile, and gentle, kind demeanor. Patricia had a natural way with people-she could strike up a conversation with anyone and often turned complete strangers into fast friends within minutes. Her genuine warmth made her someone others naturally trusted and enjoyed being around. At home, Patricia's creativity truly shined. She had a deep love for gardening and decorating, especially when it came to celebrating the holidays. With each season, her home seemed to transform into something new and magical. Easter, the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas each brought their own special look, carefully arranged and beautifully displayed. She took great joy in refreshing her home with decorations that reflected the spirit of each holiday, proudly sharing her talents with family and friends who visited.Patricia also found happiness in the kitchen, where she was known as a talented baker. Her legendary chocolate cake became something of a family treasure-rich, delicious, moist, and impossible to duplicate, no matter how many tried to recreate it. That cake, like so many things Patricia made, was always prepared with love and shared generously with those around her.Her heart was especially tender toward animals. Patricia never hesitated to open her home to a stray that needed care, often giving lonely creatures a warm place to stay and a forever home. Her compassion extended to all living things, reflecting the gentle and caring spirit she carried throughout her life.Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved daughters, Dianna Hunn & Laura Oates. Though their loss was deeply felt, Patricia carried their memory with her always, loving them with a mother's enduring heart. She is survived by her sweet kitty, Tyler, who never left her side and gave great company. Those who knew Patricia will remember her kindness, her creativity, her delicious baking, and the welcoming feeling of her beautifully decorated home. More than anything, they will remember the warmth she brought into their lives. In accordance with her wishes, Patricia will be cremated.
