Patricia A. Glunt

Patricia Anne Glunt, age 83 of Hersey, passed away at home on March 12, 2026, with her husband James by her side. Born in Detroit, Michigan on February 8, 1943, to John Topolewski and Gertrude Cebulski, she graduated from Thurston High School in Redford in 1960. She married James P. Glunt on May 30, 1964 in Livonia, where they made their home and raised their three children, Cheryl, Scott, and Christopher.

Pat worked as a licensed beautician and hairdresser in the Livonia area for many years. Her warm, easygoing nature and quick smile earned her a loyal clientele who often visited her at home. As her children grew older, she found new purpose in food service, serving as head chef for Canteen, a commercial catering company. After she and Jim moved to their home along the Muskegon River in 1997, she applied that experience as manager of the Evart meal site for the Osceola County Commission on Aging. She took genuine joy in helping the elderly and forming friendships, and she cherished having her husband as her delivery driver.

Pat’s creative spirit shone through her crafting and painting, which she sold at craft shows across the state. She and Jim enjoyed traveling together, including occasional trips to Las Vegas where she tried her luck at the slot machines.

She is survived by her husband, Jim of Hersey; her children, Cheryl (Brian) Schlief of Reno, Nevada, Scott Glunt of Grand Rapids, and Christopher (Nikole) Glunt of Hersey; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many extended family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude (Richard) Gray, and her father, John.
