Dietze (Pat), age 93, passed away on March 6, 2026, under the care of Hospice and surrounded by her children.Pat was born on November 26, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. Pat was raised in Illinois by her parents, Dorothea and George Rummel (pre-deceased). She attended Monmouth College and was a member of the Alpha X Delta Sorority. Pat worked in radio and television in Illinois and Arizona. She was an on-air weather girl.Pat met and married her husband, Robert. They were married for 46 years before his death. Together they traveled the U.S. during Robert's service in the United States Air Force and raised 2 children. Pat also enjoyed her dogs, especially being fond of Great Danes. Later, she had a cockatoo that brought her great joy.After her career in radio, where she worked at several local radio stations, Pat then embarked on a new career where she was co-owner of her own Paralegal business. She ended her career working for a local attorney before retiring to enjoy traveling the world with Robert.Pat is survived by her daughter, Robyn Whitmore (husband Gary) of Port St. John, her son, Robert Dietze II of Van Nuys, California, and her grandson, Chris Whitmore (wife Marilynn) of Waxhaw, N.C.Services will be held at a later date, where Pat will join her beloved spouse at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
