Pat Stone

1950 — 2026

South Jordan, UT

Pat passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, of natural causes. Born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho, she was the daughter of Sylvia Margaret Hopkins and Jack Darwin Nelson. Her parents tragically died in a drowning accident on July 1, 1951, leaving Pat and her sister orphaned. The sisters were lovingly adopted by their maternal grandmother, Marjie Geswaldi, and her husband Joe, and Pat grew up in a happy family setting.

She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1969 and attended one year of college at Idaho State University. Life then led her to Dubois, Idaho, where she worked in a potato processing plant. There she met and married Clyde Stone, joining him and his five children. Together they had three more children—Kathleen Rae, Anna Lee, and Michael Paul. Though life was not always easy, Pat and Clyde made the best of their years together before divorcing after nearly thirty years of marriage. She later moved to South Jordan, Utah, to live with her sister and her family. When her health challenges increased, she resided at Rocky Mountain Cottage on Vine.

Pat is survived by her three children, Kathleen, Anna Lee, and Michael; her grandchildren Chandler Hensley, Nicholas, Brianna, and Bobbi Stone, Krysta and Austin Stone; her great-grandchild Shelby Skye Hensley; and her sister, Jackie Devaul.
