Pang-Hsung Wang

Dr. Pang-Hsung Wang, 85, of Milford, passed away on March 10, 2026, just three days before his 86th birthday. Born on March 13, 1940 in Taipei, Taiwan, he graduated from Taipei Medical University in 1968 before emigrating to the United States to pursue advanced medical training. He completed his internship at Fairview General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, his residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, and his pulmonary fellowship at Laurel Heights Hospital in Shelton. In July 1976, he opened a primary care private practice in Milford, where he served as an active attending physician at Milford Hospital for 43 years.

A dedicated member of the Milford Medical Society, Dr. Wang chaired the Milford Hospital Infection Control Committee and served on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee as well as the Board of Directors for Homecare Plus Agency. He provided high-quality, compassionate care to multiple generations of patients and was deeply respected in the community. Upon his retirement, the Mayor of Milford proclaimed June 28, 2019 as Dr. Pang H. Wang Day in recognition of his distinguished service.

While he cherished his medical career, Dr. Wang’s greatest joy was his family. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he found happiness in time spent with loved ones. He enjoyed swimming, golfing, and bowling, and held a special affection for Long Island Sound, where he loved spending time on his boat or simply gazing at the water each day.

He is survived by his wife, Mei-Lee (Pan) Wang; his children, Tom Wang, Susan Wang, and Seaver Wang (Julia); his grandchildren, Alexa Beeks, Max Beeks, Benjamin Beeks, Taylor Wang, Hamilton Wang, and Theodore Wang; his brother, Hsing Hsung Wang (Yung-Hsin); and several nieces and nephews.
