Byler, 80, of LaGrange, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family.She was born February 21, 1946, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Louis E. Hedges and Ruth A. (Smith) Conrad.Pam moved to LaGrange as a young girl and graduated from LaGrange High School in 1964. On November 28, 1964, she married Eldon L. "Eldie" Byler. They celebrated 61 years of marriage this past November.Pam was a loving and caring homemaker and the rock of her family. She enjoyed helping her family and others and loved hosting gatherings for family and friends at her pool. Pam collected Pepsi memorabilia and had an impressive collection displayed around her home and pool area. She was adventurous and enjoyed snowmobiling with her family. Pam also bowled on a women's league for many years and was known as the "Garage Sale Queen," never missing a yard sale. She enjoyed scrapbooking and capturing family memories through photographs, and she was known for hosting the annual family Christmas party. Pam also enjoyed planting flowers around her home and pool.She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaGrange and was devoted to her faith and family.Pam was a loving grandmother who spent countless hours attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She also enjoyed family vacations and trips, cherishing the time spent traveling and seeing the country with those she loved.Surviving are her husband, Eldon "Eldie" Byler of LaGrange, Indiana; a daughter, Kimberly Gust of LaGrange, Indiana; a son, Tim (Doug Gibson) Byler of Wolcottville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Derek (Danna) Pearson, Lindsey Baker, Dylan Gust, and Paige (Dalton) Rayman; four great-grandchildren, Emarie Baker, Mea Pearson, Hunter Peason, and Kai Gust; two sisters, Sherry (Rick Martin) Schneider of Wolcottville, Indiana, and Terri "Toots" Rose of LaGrange, Indiana; and a stepbrother, Randy Conrad of Goshen, Indiana.She was preceded in death by her parents; a stepfather, Dale E. Conrad; a brother, Daniel L. Hedges; and a stepbrother, Ronnie Conrad.Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
