Pamela Starkey

Pamela Starkey, of Elk Point, South Dakota, passed away peacefully at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family at Unity Point in Sioux City, Iowa. Born on October 25, 1946, in Kansas to Orie and Helen Folsom, she grew up in the Kansas City area. In 1987, she married Lewis Starkey, and the couple moved to Elk Point in 1995, where Pam worked at Gateway Computers.

Pam found great joy in sharing her love of baking with her grandchildren and cherished quiet moments spent with her family by the river. She was a woman whose days were filled with warmth, laughter, and quiet devotion to those she loved.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis Starkey; her children, Kenneth Hunsucker (Debbie), Helen Hunsucker, Mark Hunsucker (Sara), and Irma Holmes (Mark); her grandchildren, Jessica Schirber, Mark (Bubba) Holmes Jr. (Sam), Gracie Teply (Andrew), and Molly Holmes; and her great-grandchildren, Emmy and Isla Holmes, Caden Palmer, and Caleb Schirber. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orie and Helen Folsom, and her three brothers, Orie Harold, Ernie, and Rick Folsom.
