Brookville, PA

Pamela Louise Brandon, née Penone, 75, of Brookville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital in DuBois.

Born on January 13, 1951, in Natrona Heights to the late Hugh and Josephine (Livrone) Penone, Pamela graduated from Leechburg Area High School in 1968. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1972 and a master’s degree in education in 1976. She devoted thirty-seven years to teaching first, second, fourth, and fifth grades at Hawthorn and New Bethlehem elementary schools in the Redbank Valley School District, retiring in 2009.

She married Thomas M. Brandon on August 21, 1976, in Leechburg. Pamela remained deeply involved in her profession and community, serving multiple terms as president of the Seneca Reading Council and as a board member of the Keystone State Literacy Association. She was also a member and past president of the Omicron Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa in Brookville and a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Pamela cherished her family above all, sharing a special closeness with those she loved. She delighted in travel, whether on day trips with her family or on longer journeys across the country and abroad, carefully planning each adventure and fondly recalling them afterward. She found quiet joy in reading and in keeping strong connections with relatives and friends. She is survived by her husband, Thomas, and their son, Jonathan Penone Brandon, both of Brookville.
