She was born in Washington DC on September 28, 1954 to Adolph "Jess" and Mae Jesswein. She joined her older siblings, Tom and Judy and later her younger sister Jill. Even as a young child, Pam loved animals. She graduated from Oxon Hill High School in 1972. She enjoyed crocheting, church and caregiving, but her happiest moments came from being a mother and an Oma. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Mae Jesswein, father-in-law, John Swieczkowski Sr., and ex-husband, Joey Smithson. Pam is survived by her husband, John Swieczkowski Jr., daughter, Jennifer Swieczkowski, step-son, Andrew Swieczkowski, her siblings, Tom (Nancy) Jesswein, Judy (George) Albrittain, and Jill (Steve) Lowman, her grandkids, Ace John "AJ" Swieczkowski, Olivia, Phoenix, and Mia Swieczkowski, her mother-in-law, Gloria Swieczkowski, sister-in-law, Denise Morzek, and 8 nieces/nephews and their families. Relatives and friends are invited to Pamela's Life Celebration from 11 a.m. until the start of the memorial service at 12 noon on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the KALAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD 20745. The family will accept guests at the deceased's home after the service for a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your favorite animal charity in memory of Pam.
