Pamela Jean McCleary (Friese), age 72, of Kerkhoven, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at Cura Nursing Home in Willmar.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon followed by her celebration of life service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Pennock. Arrangements are entrusted to Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. www.petersonbrothers.com
Pamela was born on January 31, 1954, in Huron, South Dakota, to Roland Duane Berget and Shirley Minnette Berget (Friese). She graduated from Benson High School in Benson, Minnesota.
Pam was known for her warm heart and welcoming spirit. She loved canning, crafting, and gardening, and she especially cherished spending time with her family and making new friends. Pam had a special way of making everyone feel loved—she gave the best hugs and touched the lives of many people who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roger McCleary; her daughters, Julie Halvorson (Jason), Jammie Stein (Brad), and Deni Hoffer (Justin); and her son-in-law, David Hahn. She was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
She is also survived by her siblings, Melinda Gehrt, Rhonda Maurice, Reed Berget, and Randy Berget, along with many nieces and nephews.
Pamela was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Trista Hahn and her parents, Ronnie and Shirley Berget.
Pam will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the love she shared so freely with family and friends.
