Ovi was born on October 23, 1995, in Brooklyn, New York. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, whose life was filled with love, laughter, and deep commitment to his family and country. Ovi was raised in a supportive family environment and nurtured a passion for service and excellence from a young age.Ovi served with distinction in the United States Army as an Avionic and Survivability Equipment Repairer from April 20, 2015, until July 16, 2024. His military career took him to various esteemed postings, including Camp Humphreys in Korea, Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington, and Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia. Throughout his service, he received numerous accolades, including three Army Commendation Medals and six Army Achievement Medals, evidencing his dedication and skill in service to the nation. After his time in the military, Ovi transitioned into a career with Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA, where he continued to embody the same work ethic and passion for excellence that marked his military service. Ovi also achieved a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Management.Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ovi was a passionate family man. He cherished every moment spent with his wife, Priscilla, and their children, Mila, Mateo, and Mireya. His love for his family was reflected in his every action, whether he was coaching Mateo's baseball team or cheering on his kids at their various sporting events. Ovi found joy in playing with his dogs and sharing laughter with those he held dear to him. His sense of humor and vibrant personality endeared him to many, and he will be remembered for bringing joy to the lives he touched.Ovi leaves behind his loving wife, Priscilla; his children, Mila, Mateo, and Mireya; his parents, Ovidio and Andrea Polanco; his grandmother Antolina Garcia; his siblings, Cristian, Michelle, and Jessica Polanco; and his nieces and nephews, Cristal, Kayla, Cristopher, Kyhra, Mckayla, Dimas, Jadian, Jake, Crismil, Camila, and baby Hernandez. They, along with a host of friends, colleagues, and fellow service members, will forever hold his memory in their hearts.A memorial service to honor Ovi's life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kersey Funeral Home in Auburndale, FL. The service will then proceed to Auburndale Memorial Park from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to express condolences to send flowers to their home at 4956 Jackson St., Winter Haven, FL, 33884.Ovi Junior Polanco's remarkable life and service will be remembered with profound gratitude and love.
