Oscar was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and a respected figure in the finance industry, dedicating his professional life to the discipline of accounting. Born and raised in the Philippines, Oscar attended the University of the East (UE) in Manila and was an accountant for many years. Upon his relocation to the United States, he transitioned his career to that of AI technology.Predeceased by his parents, Miguel S. and Maria Avistado Tanyag; his wife, Norma Tupas Espiritu; his brothers, Isagani Tanyag, Bayani Tanyag, and Miguel Tanyag Jr.; and his sisters, Nelita Tanyag and Priscilla Tanyag Calalang. Oscar is survived by his two daughters, Mary Grace Agtuca and Juliet Tanyag; his son, Edyl Tanyag; his grandchildren, Krystine Agtuca-Nguyen, John Patrick Tanyag, Normalyn Paula Tanyag, Jorell Reyes, and Jeorjet Reyes; his sister, Mila Hizon; his brother, Edgar Tanyag; and many other loved ones.A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, New Jersey 08690.In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Oscar's caring spirit by making a contribution to a charitable organization that is meaningful to you.Arrangements are under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
