Orville Wayne Black

Orville Wayne Black of Mason, Ohio, passed away on March 14, 2026 at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterlie Black and Ann Black, his sister Johnna Lefevers, and his son Sami Sullivan.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Black; his daughters, Jessica Kerns (Elijah) and Linda Smith (Michael); his grandchildren, William Wood, Joshua Wood, Kai Kerns, Kaylee Kerns, Levi Kerns, Madison Kerns, Aron Sullivan, Brode Sullivan, Cayden O'Sullivan and Thor Audiss; and his siblings, Lawrence Hacker, Kathy Gephart, Ron Hacker, Donna Randall, Judy Black-Hawes, Tami Shelton, Jeannie Gartin and Danny Black. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

Orville lived a life marked by quiet strength and deep devotion to his family. Those who knew him will remember the steady presence he offered as a husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and the love that continues to bind the large family he leaves behind.
