Orville Ewing ObituaryPublished by Legacy on Mar. 9, 2026.Orville Ewing was born August 7, 1941 to Della and "Buck" Harvey Ewing in Yakima Washington. He was the fourth of six children. He was painfully shy but was never one to back down from a fight. That attitude earned him the nickname "Buster". He graduated from Pt. Townsend High School in 1960. Then, proudly served our country in the US Air Force. Shortly after his tour of service was complete, he met a pretty redheaded spitball from Coulee City, Washington. He won her heart, and on August 7, 1965 in Othello, Wa, Buster and Naomi were married. Their 60 years together blessed them with three great kids: Anita born in 1966, Tim born in 1968 and Damon born in 1971.To say Buster was a hard worker would be a gross understatement. He owned and operated his own construction company since 1978. He was a general contractor by trade but was never too proud to dig a ditch if it meant he was providing for his family. He instilled this strong work ethic in his two sons and five grandsons. If he loved you he was kind and selfless to a fault. If he didn't care for you he would tell you. Whether you wanted to hear it or not.He peacefully passed away on March 3, 2026 after a brief illness. He left a profound hole in all of our hearts however, it is a blessing to know he is no longer in any pain.He is survived by his beautiful bride Naomi, his sons Tim Ewing (Sandy) and their son Connor (Lake Stevens, WA.) and Damon Ewing (Tricia), their sons Cole, Cade and Jace Ewing(Yakima, WA) and his firstborn grandson Quinton Ewing (Yakima,WA). He is also survived by his brother Rich (Linda) Ewing. He is preceded in death by his daughter Anita Ewing and several brothers and sister(s).At his request there will be no services. To honor his memory the family encourages you to think about him the next time you take a family fishing trip, or play a card tournament with your friends, burn the 'scrap pile' out back or enjoy a tomato sandwich. All of these things brought him great joy!Legacy.com reports daily on death announcements in local communities nationwide.
