Orville Duane Hutchinson, 76, of Lebo, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
Born on July 31, 1949, in Old Strawn, Kansas, to Samuel Andrew and Marian Hazel (Baxter) Hutchinson, Orville graduated from Lebo High School and attended Vo Tech. He began his working life farming before transitioning to the heating and air industry. He later became a master electrician at Wolf Creek Nuclear Plant, where he worked until his retirement.
Orville cherished attending sporting events for his sons and grandchildren, finding great joy in supporting their activities. He will be remembered fondly by his daughter, Cheyanne Hutchinson of Osage City; two sons, Cody (Katelyn Sloan) Hutchinson of Lebo and Chisholm (Kayla) Hutchinson of Lebo; five sisters, Pat Dalby of Burlington, Melva Selby of Emporia, Kathleen Hutchinson of Lebo, Sharyl (Bill) Bolyard of Osage City, and Joyce Nihiser of Virginia; two brothers, Leon (Beth) Hutchinson of Norman, Oklahoma, and Marvin (Linda) Hutchinson of Wellsville, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Brooklyn Hutchinson, Alexis Hutchinson, Jade Hutchinson, Chase Hutchinson, Echo Hutchinson, Dixie Hutchinson, and Austin Houston; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Donald, Samuel, Jack, and Clifford Hutchinson, and a sister, Eleanor Powell.
