Orsie was born on December 23, 1930, in Farmerville, Louisiana, to Lee and Beattie (Gatson) Ridgell. Beloved wife of the late Leroy. Loving mother of Mildred (Daniel) Lyle and the late Eric Marshall Garland. Sister of Alice Marie, Julie, Malachi and Felton. Dear grandmother of Eric Garland, Angelo Lane, Georjan Garland, and Tyree Harper. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her siblings Ora B., Henry, Booker T., Roy Lee and Lawrence.Orsie loved cooking, her rose garden, sweets and taking care of people in need. She was always smiling which made others smile too. Above all she loved her family.Family Hour Friday, March 27, 2026, from 10am until services at 11am at Kernan Funeral Service, 1020 Fort St., Lincoln Park, Her interment will be in Woodmere Cemetery.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
