Opal Lee King, age 84, of Pineville, Kentucky, passed away on March 13, 2026. She was born on November 27, 1941, in Knox County, Kentucky, to the late Sam King and Mable Sizemore King.
A long-time resident of Pineville, Opal was a devoted member of the First Christian Church of Pineville. She lived a quiet life centered on her family and her faith, leaving behind a legacy of love and steadfast presence.
She is survived by her son, Eric Wheatley and his wife Sheila of Providence, Kentucky, and her three cherished grandsons, Hunter, Peyton, and Grayson Wheatley. Opal is also remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her deeply.
