Baldwin, affectionately known as "Big Mama," passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born on May 9, 1949, in Union Springs, Alabama, to the late Theodis Baldwin and Lussie Mae Wise.A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and beloved aunt, Ollie's life was defined by her deep love for family and her unwavering kindness toward everyone she met. She spent more than 30 years as a dedicated employee of Monroe Transportation, serving as a bus monitor. In that role, she became a source of comfort, joy, and encouragement to countless children, treating each one with the same warmth she gave her own family.Ollie was preceded in death by her only child, Curtis Smith. 2 brothers; David & Rarby Gulley.She leaves to cherish her memory three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her Monroe Transportation family, who loved her dearly, also mourns her passing and celebrates the legacy she leaves behind.A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 10, at 11am, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, 351 Joseph Avenue. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.The family invites all who knew and loved "Big Mama" to share messages of love and remembrance below.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
