Olive was the youngest of four girls, Dolores, Charleen and Barbara, who all proceeded her in death.At an early age, she relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she received her formal education. On July 28 th, 1952, Olive married Joseph Lyde and they remained united in holy matrimony until his death. During their forty- two years together they raised two daughters, Loretta and Cherie, who also proceeded her in death.Olive was a member of People's Independent Church, where she became a deaconess and served faithfully for ten years. She later relocated back to San Antonio, Texas in 2007. She joined Maranatha Bible Church and remained a faithful member until her death.Olive enjoyed traveling, shopping, getting dressed up, socializing and hosting dinner parties.Olive will be forever remembered by her grandchildren Samone Hogg, Aaron Hogg , Cameron Stamps; her bonus grandchildren Daryl, Rolanda , Jeanetta, Lenita, John III; nieces and nephews Katherine Bee, Margaret Bee, Michael Bee, Kevin Bee, Christopher Hammond, Brenda Davis, Nicki Davis and Kevin Davis along with a host of other relatives and friends.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
