Olive Smith ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A. - Cumberland on Mar. 16, 2026.Ellerslie, MD – Olive Grace (Arvin) Smith, 91, of Ellerslie, MD, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026.Born June 16, 1934, in Clearville, PA, Olive was the daughter of the late Lester Arvin and Florence (Messersmith) Arvin. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Flora George, Barbara "Irene" Deremer, and Betty J. Mearkle; her infant brother; and her two husbands: Robert R. McGee and James V. Smith.Olive graduated from Everett High School Class of 1953 and was also a graduate of Kings Daughters Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the eye surgery operating room at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC, where she retired as Head Nurse after 51 years of service.Olive is survived by her son: Michael McGee and wife Darlene; her granddaughter: Christa McGee; her fur-babies: Sophie and Sir Winston; her sister: Dorothy C. Morral; and numerous nieces and nephews.Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., with Pastors Tim Pratt and Ken Korns officiating. Friends will also be received one hour prior to the service. The Maryland Nurse Honor Guard will conduct a memorial service at 1:45 P.M.Interment will be private.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in her name to: Saving Grace Animal Rescue, P.O.
