Olin D. McCartney

Olin D. McCartney, age 57, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at St. Joseph Eastland Hospital in Warren. Born on October 23, 1968, in Warren, Ohio, he was the son of Irvin French McCartney and Ava Nell (Taylor) McCartney. Olin had lived in Southington since 2021, having previously resided in Anderson, South Carolina. He graduated from Southington High School with the Class of 1987.

In 1994, Olin married the love of his life, Michelle Rae Graham. The couple shared 31 devoted years of marriage. He worked for 12 years as Manager of Implementation at Follett Software Company in Greenville, South Carolina. Deeply committed to his faith, Olin served as Associate Pastor for the Lifeline Mission Church in Iva, South Carolina, where he found great purpose in ministry work. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ava McCartney.

Olin is survived by his wife, Michelle R. McCartney of Southington; his father, Irvin (French) McCartney Sr. of Southington; his three sons, Justin McCartney of Southington, Stephen McCartney of Dayton, Ohio, and Ryan McCartney of Dayton, Ohio; and his brother, Irvin McCartney Jr. of Southington. He will be laid to rest beside his mother at Meadowbrook Memorial Park in Warren.
