Odessa P. Christy

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Odessa P. Christy of Harrington, Delaware, born in Chestertown, Maryland, who passed away on March 5, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward S. Perkins and Anna Hackett Perkins; her siblings, Edward Perkins, Jr., Rose Herbert, Clarence Perkins and James Perkins; and the father of her children Dennis Christy.

She is survived by: her children, Michael L. Christy, Sr. (Billene), Timothy L. Christy, Monica R. Christy, Felicia "Lisa" Grinnell, Eric Fletcher, Kiriel P. Christy-Batalla and Stephan Ramon Christy-Batalla; her close friend Carmen Jordan; her siblings, George Perkins (Edith) and Arlivia Howard; her grandchildren, Dr. Shiradon Kirk and Ed; her great grandchildren, MaKinley, Xavier, Hadley Christy, Khloe, Kennedy Kirk and Bryson Fletcher; her siblings-in-law, Margaret Ann Perkins, Esther Prichett (Arlington), Alice Riddick (Joe) and Alan Christy (Jennifer); and her nieces, Donnette Commodore, Areatha Perkins (Debbie), Sherri Pritchett, Connie Brown (Arthur) and Lisa Penn-Jones (Keith).

Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion United Methodist Church (164 W Main St, Cecilton, MD 21913). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
