Odelia "DeeDee" Angela Hunter

Odelia "DeeDee" Angela Hunter

July 17, 1958 March 6, 2026

Inkster, MI

Odelia "DeeDee" Angela Hunter, 67, passed away on March 6, 2026, and was reunited in heaven with her parents, Florence Odelia Hunter (Flo) and George Oliver Hunter.

Born a free spirit who resisted rules and expectations, Dee felt a profound connection to nature. She cherished attending the annual "Celebrating Life" Pow Wow, where she joined Cherokee drum circles and learned about herbal medicines and survival skills from First Nations shamans. She held a deep love for animals and wildlife, finding her greatest joy camping and fishing alongside her dogs, who were her dearest companions and like children to her.

Dee was highly artistic, designing and creating stained glass sculptures and suncatchers, often incorporating the glass into dream catchers and wind chimes. A member of the LGBTQ community, she shared her talents as a spotlight operator at Stiletto's Night Club in Inkster, Michigan.

Warm and well-liked by all who knew her, Dee was fiercely loyal; those fortunate enough to be counted as her friend had a friend for life. She shared that special bond with Debby Rowden and her children, Mandi and Corey Farmer, whose friendship with Dee grew into family. She is survived by many cousins and by her adopted niece and nephew, Mandi and Corey Farmer.
