Norman H. Loos, 90, of Jackson, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Chateau Girardeau Nursing Facility in Cape Girardeau, surrounded by loving family.

He was born September 26, 1935, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Edward J. and Ruth Loos. He and Eleanor J. Ollinger were married November 22, 1956, in Oakville, Missouri, and together they shared a loving life for 69 years.

After moving to Jackson, Norman established IBM/East Missouri Office Equipment and worked as the service technician. He was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, and Bishop Timon Knights of Columbus, where he proudly held the title of a 4th Degree Knight. In his free time, Norman enjoyed all kinds of woodworking and furniture building.

Loving survivors include his wife of 69 years, Eleanor J. Loos of Jackson; a daughter, Connie J. (late Paul) Mize of Jackson; siblings: Shirley (late Robert) Etherton of Fenton, Missouri; Sharon Rotan and Loretta (late Jim) Rector of Robertsville, Missouri; Richard (Pat) Loos of Foristell, Missouri; grandchildren: Charissa (Kyle) Griggs of Jackson and Ryan (Khloe) Mize of Chaffee; great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Bentley Griggs of Jackson, and Parker Mize of Chaffee; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gerald E. Loos; son-in-law, Paul Mize; two brothers, Edward and Donald Loos; four sisters, Dorothy Kious, Delores Dunlop, Patricia Kious and Barbara Purvis; and Eleanor’s family: her parents, Nicholas and Flora Warner Ollinger; sisters, Alice Hummelsheim and Jeanette Heuvelman; and a brother, Robert Ollinger.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday March 11, 2026, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Parish Prayers will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the Rosary.

Father Randolph Tochtrop will celebrate funeral mass at 10 a.m., Thursday March 12, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
