Norman Bruce Woods

Norman Bruce Woods, 82, of Waco, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Born on January 13, 1944, in Berkeley, California, to Alvin Otto Woods and Bonnie Eloise Adamson Woods, he graduated from Ganesha High School in Pomona in 1961. Norman worked as a mechanic at local car dealerships and gas stations before enlisting in the United States Army in April 1969, serving four years until his medical retirement.

In 1968, Norman married Renate Anna Freda Von Einsiedel. Together they built a life that lasted until her passing in 2002. He later married Debbie in 2004. Norman was an avid collector who amassed more than 600 cars, which he restored and sold, and he took great pleasure in tinkering with computers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Renate, and his stepsister Dorothy. Norman is survived by his children, Michael Woods, Erica O’Boyle, Thomas Woods, and Eric Woods; his stepson, Joseph Colvin; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
