Norma Jean Padgett

Norma Jean Padgett, 79, of Huntingdon, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Charter Senior Living of Paris. Born on November 9, 1946, in Belle Glade, Florida, she was the daughter of Abe Burns and Mary Francis Smith. A devoted homemaker, Norma found deep fulfillment in caring for her family and creating a warm home for those she loved.

She is survived by her husband, James David Padgett; her daughter, Mary Bess Toombs (Lynn) of McKenzie; her stepdaughter, Shannon Pavesic (Pete) of Port Charlotte, Florida; her son, Chris Lutz of Huntingdon; her stepson, David Padgett of Nashville; two brothers, Bob Richardson (Janet) of West Palm, Florida, and Brad Burns of Huntingdon; four grandchildren, Madison Driggers, Luke Toombs, Lydia Lutz, and Kyle Lutz; two step-grandchildren, Mia Hansen (Taylor) and Gavin Pavesic; and three great-grandchildren, Krews Lutz, Brooks Lutz, and Luke Hansen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jim Burns.
