Norma Jackson ObituaryPublished by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 9, 2026.A funeral service for Norma Jackson, 98, is scheduled for 1 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2026, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Rev. Patrick Evans officiating. She will be laid to rest at Still Waters Memorial Gardens Cemetery.She was born on September 11, 1927, in Gallatin TX, to Marvin and Josephine (Gullion) Hataway, and went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2026.Norma married Marshall Hood Jackson on December 23, 1950, in Jacksonville, TX, and were married for 57 wonderful years and raised three daughters, Marsha, Jan and Paula. They lived in Jacksonville, Corsicana, and Temple. She moved to Rosenberg in 2020 to live with family until her death.Norma worked as a Lab Technician for Nan Travis Hospital in Jacksonville until the family moved to Corsicana in 1954. She loved her family, friends, photography, bird watching, and gardening. She always had to stop on the side of the road to dig up flowers or dogwood trees.Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marshall Hood Jackson; sister, Janet Johnson and her husband Grover Johnson; brothers, Marvin Hataway Jr., James Hataway and his wife Mildred Hataway, sister-in-law Bettie Hataway; nephews, Wendell Hataway, Bayne Johnson; and son-in-law Sandy Bielstein.Left to cherish her memory are daughters; Marsha Bielstein of Rosenberg, Jan Walton and husband Bill of Conroe, Paula Cook of Rosenberg; grandchildren Preston Hamby and wife Amber, Christian Bielstein and partner Jamie, Sean Bielstein, Ashley Walton Sine and husband Bob; Jennifer Walton, Sabrina Walton Gonzales and husband Lorenzo, Trevor Cook, Travis Cook and wife Alexandra; great-grandchildren Skylar, Grayson, Macy, Jackson, Olivia, Emery, Charlotte, Rosalyn, Ethan, Cameron, Marshall and Cody; and several cherished nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Preston Hamby, Trevor Cook, Travis Cook, Sean Bielstein, Ashley Sine, Jennifer Walton, Sabrina Gonzales, and Bruce Johnson.Honorary pallbearers are Bill Walton, Bob Sine, Lorenzo Gonzales, Lonnie Rushing, and Chris Knowles.The family wants to thank Star of Texas Hospice for their loving and compassionate care for Norma.
