She was predeceased by: her parents, Abe Burns and Mary Francis Smith; and her brother Jim Burns. She is survived by: her husband James David Padgett; her daughter Mary Bess Toombs (Lynn) of McKenzie; her stepdaughter Shannon Pavesic (Pete) of Port Charlotte, Florida; her son Chris Lutz of Huntingdon; her stepson David Padgett of Nashville; her brothers, Bob Richardson (Janet) of West Palm and Brad Burns of Huntingdon; her grandchildren, Madison Driggers, Luke Toombs, Lydia Lutz, Kyle Lutz, Mia Hansen (Taylor) and Gavin Pavesic; and her great grandchildren, Krews Lutz, Brooks Lutz and Luke Hansen.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home (1740 Cedar St, McKenzie, TN 38201). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
