Norma Irene Tonche

Norma Irene Tonche, 40, of Pampa, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, after a courageous four-year battle with liver cancer. Born on January 21, 1986, to Gloria and Baltazar Madrid in Pampa, she graduated from Pampa High School and earned her massage therapist license. Norma later worked as an insurance agent for Gayla Rigdon at State Farm until the birth of her first child.

On June 14, 2016, Norma married the love of her life, Ismael Tonche. Together they raised two children, Bernardino and Analee. A devoted wife and mother, she cherished capturing playful selfies, Snapchat filters, and silly faces with her family. Norma had a lifelong passion for cooking and baking that began in childhood. She delighted in sharing homemade cakes, loaves of bread, and cookies with family and friends, especially during her healthier periods. She taught her children the joys of the kitchen with care and intention, hoping to give them a lasting sense of home and her love. Family cookouts filled with music and dancing brought her pure happiness.

In her final weeks, Norma was surrounded by the love of family and friends who gathered from near and far to share stories, look at photographs, listen to music, and offer comfort. Her lively presence and joyful spirit ensured she was always the smile in the room.

Norma was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hipolito and Felicita Natividad. She is survived by her husband, Ismael Tonche; children, Bernardino and Analee; parents, Baltazar and Gloria Madrid; brothers, Orlando Madrid and wife Jessica, and Leonel Madrid; brother-in-law, Manuel Ayala; mother-in-law, Lupe Ayala; nieces Emma Grace and Aymara Tonche; nephew Rayland, whom she loved as Tia; and many extended family members.
