Norma I. Barkley

Norma Irene Barkley, 85, of Jeannette, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. Born on November 19, 1940, in Ruffsdale, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Gressly) Kline.

Norma worked for her father at his woodworking shop during high school before pursuing a career as a registered nurse. She cherished traveling across the United States and Canada with her husband, creating lasting memories together over their 68 years of marriage.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert Barkley, and a sister, Miriam (Walter) Martin. Norma is survived by her husband, Jim Barkley; four children, James Paul Barkley (Lisa), Debbie Elaine Nowaski (Bill), Timothy Dean Barkley (Karen), and Glenn Todd Barkley (Sherri); nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Evelyn Johnson (Harry), and several nieces.
