Norma Harris ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Paradise Funeral Home - Dallas on Mar. 14, 2026.Norma Dale Harris was born on July 25, 1932, and departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.She accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age at Pleasant Grove CME in Ladonia, Texas. For over 70 years, she remained a dedicated member of Kirkwood Temple CME, actively serving on the Pastor's Aide Committee, Usher Board, Culinary Staff, and Stewardess Board until her health declined. Additionally, Norma was a proud member of the Eastern Stars and Sunrise T. #751 State Queen 1986-1987.Norma received her education from Clark High School in Ladonia, Texas, where she participated in choir and cheerleading. Following graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City to pursue a career in nursing. As a result of her training, Norma worked as a nurse in several Dallas ISD schools. She was also deeply committed to volunteer service, contributing to voter registration efforts as well as volunteering at the Veterans Hospital and Scottish Rite Hospital. At Scottish Rite, Norma annually decorated Christmas trees, an endeavor that led to one of the hospital floors being named in her honor.Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Neva Harris; brothers, Robert and Arthur Harris; son, Lyndon Craig Stephenson; and grandson, Quincy Tyler.She is survived by her sister, Alice Harris Ford; daughter, Yvette Stephenson Tyler; granddaughter, Kamedra Kemp; great-grandchildren, Queen and Quincy Tyler Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended family members.To send a flower arrangement in memory of Norma Dale Harris, please click here to visit our sympathy store.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
