Norine J. Robbins, née Dionne, age 92, of Hyannis, Massachusetts, passed away of natural causes on March 11, 2026. Born on December 16, 1933, in Boston, she was the daughter of John “Eddie” Dionne and Teresa Schiller Dionne. She attended Most Holy Redeemer Grammar School and Fitton High School in East Boston before beginning her career at the historic Bemis Brothers Bag Company, where she advanced to the role of purchasing agent. Later in life, she earned an Associate’s degree in Art from Cape Cod Community College and discovered her true passion working as a florist for Flower & Fern and Bassett’s Flower Shop in Hyannis. Even in retirement, she continued creating beautiful floral arrangements for every occasion.
An avid and passionate reader, Norine volunteered for many years at the Hyannis Public Library. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis. She was the widow of Alton E. Robbins of Hyannis, to whom she was married for 22 years before his death in 1982.
She is survived by her four children, Robert A. Robbins and his wife Alison of Marstons Mills, Scott A. Robbins and his wife Debra of Cohasset, Alton E. Robbins, Jr. and his wife Susan of Sandwich, and Susan Bennett and her husband Carlton “Bud” of Bridgewater. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Laura Zhivich, Jessica Gross, Emily Ford, Callum Robbins, Margot Robbins, and Lily Bennett, and four great-grandchildren.
