Nora Gomez ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Ric Brown Family Funeral Home - at the Expressway of Mission on Mar. 10, 2026.With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nora Lee Gomez, who entered eternal rest on March 5, 2026, at the age of 65. Nora was born on July 30, 1960, and throughout her life she brought joy, love, and laughter to everyone fortunate enough to know her.Nora shared a beautiful marriage of 46 years with her devoted husband, Jesus G. Gomez Jr. Their love was something truly special and admired by many. Anyone who saw them dance together could see the magic between them. They moved in perfect harmony, a reflection of the deep love they shared throughout their lives. She was a proud and devoted mother to Jesse (Maricela) Gomez, Jermaine (Yadira) Gomez, and Janis (James) Alaniz. Being a mother was one of Nora's greatest joys, and she was endlessly proud of the people her children became.Nora was also the most loving "Yaya" to her cherished grandchildren: Jessel Desiree Gomez, Jesai Dominic Gomez, Kylie Denay Gomez, Sophia Natalia Gomez, Lauren Bobbi Gomez, Dezmond James Alaniz, Jaxon Jay Alaniz, and Victoria Marie Alaniz. Her grandchildren were her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Being their Yaya brought her endless happiness and pride. She is also survived by her loving siblings Joe (America+) Ramos, Maria Elena (Eduardo) Vela, Norma Ramos, Elizabeth (Juan) Ponce, Yolanda (Fred) Herrera, Sylvia (Ruben) Hernandez, Hilario (Arcelia) Ramos Jr., Imelda (Adonys) Carmona, Melba Ramos, and Raul Ramos, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.Nora was known as the life of the party, someone whose laughter could fill a room and whose spirit brought joy wherever she went. She had a beautiful way of making everyone feel welcomed, loved, and special. Her warmth and kindness touched so many lives. Her life reflected the words of her favorite Bible verse, Proverbs 31: "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." Nora truly embodied these words, living with strength, grace, faith, and a joyful heart.Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing her love will continue to surround us-in the songs that remind us of her, in the laughter shared among family, and in the beautiful memories we will carry forever.Nora Lee Gomez will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.Funeral services will be held at: Tuesday March 10, 2026Private viewing for family only 3-5pmRosary 5-9pmRic Brown Funeral Home701 E.
