Noi Lovan ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Merle Hay Funeral Home on Mar. 3, 2026.Noi Lovan was born on September 3rd, 1966 in Vientiane, Laos and passed away peacefully at his home in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, February 27th, 2026, at age 59.Noi Lovan and his family immigrated to the United States in 1979 and were sponsored by the community members of Grace Methodist Church. They settled in Des Moines, Iowa where Noi went on to graduate from Roosevelt High School in 1984. He continued his education by earning his Associates Degree from Des Moines Area Community College in 1987. He later met Nho (Cam) Lovan and they married in 1990. In October of 1996, they welcomed triplets, Lucky, Jamaica, and Lexus.Noi was a devoted father and a beloved son and brother whose presence meant so much to those around him. He lived an active life, playing in a recreational soccer league with the Taidam 16 Stars Community Team, training at the YMCA, and taking long walks along the Des Moines River. More than anything, he treasured time with family and friends. He was deeply committed to being an outstanding father to his triplets, instilling in them the values of generosity, kindness, and strong relationships. Noi had a giving spirit and made it a priority to ensure that everyone he encountered felt welcomed, supported and well cared for.He is survived by his mother, Ngot Lovan, brothers, Mock (Nit) Lovan, Tiene (Nuok) Lovanrack, Vine (Kheng) Lovan, Thane (Sone) Lovan, Chris (Bok) Lo, Eddie (Moneey) Lovan, Tek Lovan, and sister, Angel Lovan (Jason Mander) sister-in-law, Yom Lovan; children, Lucky (Tiffany) Lovan, Jamaica (Aidan) Martin, and Lexus Lovan (Armando Payan), and leaves behind 1 grandchild Zayne Lovan.Noi was preceded in death by father, Ouane Lovan and brother, Dick Lovan.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
