Noemi Gonzales

Noemi B. Gonzales, 87, of Brownwood, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on September 20, 1938, in Brownwood to Francisco and Concepcion Ballejo, she married Charles Gonzales in Wharton, Texas. Noemi dedicated more than 25 years of her life to serving as a teacher’s aide at the Brownwood State School, now known as Ron Jackson, where she touched the lives of many children through her patient and caring presence.

She is survived by her son, Carlos Gonzales and his wife Michelle; her grandchildren, Nikolaus Rion and Kaitlyn Ariana Gonzales of Mansfield, Texas; and her three sisters, Connie Manning of Harrington, Delaware, Frances Sauseda of Houston, Texas, and Esperanza McClung of Brownwood, Texas. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Noemi was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Concepcion Ballejo; her husband, Charles Gonzales; her brothers, Manuel C. Ballejo, John Ballejo, Dr. Joseph Ballejo, and Daniel Ballejo; and her sisters, Carmen Robles, Maria Elva Gonzales, Consuelo Ballejo, and Elena Ornelas.
